Theres Grüter
(Professor, University of Hawaii at Manoa)
Theres Grüter is a professor in the Department of Second Language Studies at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Her areas of expertise include sentence processing, developmental psycholinguistics, and childhood bilingualism. Her research explores how language users of all kinds—adults and children, monolingual and bilingual—process and learn language. She is particularly interested in how we integrate information from various linguistic (e.g., phonological,
syntactic, semantic) and non-linguistic (e.g., event structure, visual information) sources, how we do so as quickly and successfully as we typically do in everyday communication, and how input and experience influence our language learning and use. For more information, please visit her homepage: https://theresgruter.homestead.com.

Byungmin Lee
(Professor, Seoul National University)
Byungmin Lee is a professor in the Department of English Education at Seoul National University. His research focuses on second language (L2) reading acquisition, literacy development, and assessment. In particular, he has examined the development of English reading proficiency in the Korean context, with a focus on measuring oral reading fluency. He also conducts research on reading comprehension assessment, using the framework of situation model construction to analyze which aspects of reading are evaluated in Korean reading tests and to identify their limitations. His current work involves the use of longitudinal data to investigate patterns of reading development through advanced statistical methods, including latent profile analysis (LPA) and latent transition analysis (LTA). Jeong-Ah Shin
(Professor, Dongguk University)
Jeong-Ah Shin is a professor in the Department of English Language and Literature at Dongguk University. She received her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology (Cognitive Science of Teaching and Learning) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She currently serves as an associate editor for Cognitive Science: A Multidisciplinary Journal. Her research focuses on cognitive science, psycholinguistics, and second language acquisition, with specific interests in syntactic (structural) priming and parsing, language production, language comprehension processes, bilingual language processing, and language learning in human and artificial intelligence.
