
The 23rd AsiaTEFL International Conference 2025 Call for Proposals
The 23rd AsiaTEFL International Conference will take place at The Education University of Hong Kong, China from July 10-13, 2025. This year’s theme is “Care, Innovation, and Sustainability in ELT”, focusing on a human-centered, socially impactful approach to enhancing English Language Teaching.
The 23rd AsiaTEFL International Conference 2025 invite students, practitioners, researchers, and policymakers working in the field of ELT in Asia and beyond. Please, come join us to celebrate the 23rd AsiaTEFL conference and enjoy a rich program filled with insightful presentations!
We would like to invite you to submit your proposals for research papers, workshops, colloquia/symposia, and poster sessions. Our conference attracts a diverse range of presenters from across Asia and around the world, offering a platform for comprehensive and stimulating discussions. In addition to engaging sessions, the conference will feature thought-provoking keynote/plenary/featured presentations, excellent book exhibits, and ample networking opportunities.

Presentation Types
Onsite Presentation
a. Papers (30 minutes):
- Detailed presentations sharing research findings.
- Includes time for a brief Q&A.
b. Workshops (60 minutes):
- Interactive sessions with hands-on activities.
- Designed for skill-building and practical learning.
- Includes time for a brief Q&A.
c. Colloquia/Symposia (90 minutes):
- Extended sessions with multiple talks on a common theme.
- Followed by a discussion period.
- Includes time for a brief Q&A.
d. Multimodal Posters (90 minutes):
- Visual presentations combining text, images, and other media.
- Presenters discuss their work with attendees.
- Includes time for a brief Q&A.
Online Presentation
a. Papers (20 minutes):
- Pre-recorded presentations explaining research studies.
- Available online for participants to watch at their convenience.
- Without Q&A.
b. Workshops (40 minutes):
- The pre-recorded videos shall be played on the online platform.
- Interactive sessions with hands-on activities.
- Designed for skill-building and practical learning.
- Without Q&A.
c. Colloquia/Symposia (50 minutes):
- Extended sessions with multiple talks on a common theme.
- The pre-recorded videos shall be played on the online platform.
- Followed by a discussion period.
- Without Q&A.
